Lee commented that my ABFriday image felt Gothic to her, and my brain saw exactly what it *could* look like if I played a bit in Photoshop.
So here is my Gothic Grunge version:
– toned down the saturation of the colours
– added a grunge edge frame – blended with multiply mode at 100%
– added a textural layer – blended with multiply mode at 100%
For once I remembered to take a screen shot of my layers in PS so you can see
Like it? Hate it? Tell me about it 🙂
Love it. It has a Gotham comic book feel.
Cheers, thats kinda where I was going with ti 🙂
Love it!
Thanks Sue, I didnt want to do ANOTHER Grunge entry for the OFP challenge, but it was nice to adapt this image to it 🙂
Love it! You definitely achieved the “gothic” look. It kind of reminds me of the darkness of the film used in shooting the tv show Gotham.
Thanks that is a grim show😋
I’ve only watched a couple of the shows, but the way the film was darker seemed to fit the overall tone of the show perfectly 🙂
I saw the first couple of episodes but it was a bit grim and dreary for me, im not a comic fan so not the target audience.
I had the same reaction to it, but I did like how they used the darker filming technique to provide the darker atmosphere of Gotham.
Yes it certainly had a distinctive aesthetic approach
Definitely a great gothic feel to this. Love it.
Thanks Raewyn
Great gothic change and love the moody blue you kept in the sky, Stacey
Yes I wanted a hint of colour to show up against the grunge 🙂
out of these two great versions I prefer ths, tones scratchines,,,
Thanks Ritva, I have done a lot of grunge style stuff this year so I wanted to do something different this time round for the One Focus Challenge. Looks like I couldnt stay away from the grunge tho 🙂
Ah, there’s the grunge layer I love so well 😀 Very nice, subtle blue to the sky too. Fun to see you rework it, Stacey!
Yes I wanted to have some variation for the OPF away from the grunge, but it looks like I can’t stay away 🙂
