Working hard on the wedding images, between two shooters we had nearly 1000 shots, and I have it down to around 400, with quite a few guest and scenery shots.
While I was waiting for the bride to arrive, I spent time chatting to the two tram drivers we had, and they were very patient about having photos taken, both of them and the trams and the wedding attendees when they all arrived.
So I wanted to do something a little special to say thankyou, so this is for one of the drivers, whose name was Peanut. As they were vintage trams, a steampunk theme felt somewhat appropriate.
This is made up of 3 texture layers, several embellishments, frames and other elements. The photo of the driver and one of the tram lines is also included.
It is reminiscent of the scrapbook style, I wanted to make it feel interesting and different and yet relevant. Did I achieve that?
All thoughts, comments and feedback welcome!
I live it, about the inly comment I might make is perhaps making the photo slightly more sepia, I don’t know it may not work
Yeah I thought about that, this is the second version, and the first one had a sepia tone and it didn’t stand out enough and lost a lot of detail in the photo as well.
that’s what I was worried might happen, it was just a thought 🙂
Wonderful!
Thankyou 🙂
Oh, this is so perfect! I love steampunk and this was the perfect vehicle for it. Nicely done. Stacey.
Thanks, it seemed to me that steampunk was a nice fit too 🙂
This is awesome, I love the addition of the tram line photo, it really draws the eye into the image.
Thanks Nic – I liked the lines on the ground coupled with the poles and the wires in the sky – they are less obvious in this variation but it made for a nice photo to use here 🙂
