I wrote this post in the weekend and then right at the end WordPress hiccuped and I lost the whole thing π¦Β At that point I sulked and then got so busy playing with my new Wacom Intuos5 Pro tablet I forgot about the challenge!
We are in November (where has the year gone?) for the One Four Challenge where Nic is hosting for us this month – details and challenge info here
My image for the month is the very last image I took at Melbourne Zoo when I visited back in 2010 and found this wonderful fluffy lemur sunbathing in a very zen manner.
No fancy stuff for this week, has been edited in Lightroom using several daylight presets I purchased recently and punching up the warmth, colour and vibrance to bring out the lovely colours and texture in his fur.
This image now provides the base for which I will base coming weeks on.
Like it? Don’t Like it? Tell me about it!
Wow he’s totally meditating. Love the light in this shot. ππ
He totally is – I can hear the OHM quite clearly – he does close his eyes in one shot but didn’t have the hands out.
heheh love it
Heehee that is a great shot! π Beautiful lighting and detail in the fur. Looking forward to the edits you have in store for this month. π
Thanks Nic – I watched them for a while, this was the biggest one, he climbed down from a big hammock they had suspended quite high (the big tree on the slight lean on the left of my image is one of the legs for it) and he climbed down and had a bit of a sniff and then sat to sunbathe and I just HAD to get this shot π
π
This looks interesting. I have a tablet too, must get it out again.
The tablet is very cool esp with the touch functionality so I dont need to use my mouse nearly at all but its quite complicated to setup properly
Ah I wondered what the beastie was when I first saw the image…. Very funny!
He is a ring tailed lemur – but his gorgeous stripy tail is behind him – I have another image showing it off, I will include it in next weeks post π
I cannot get to the One Four Page – it wants me to log in. And I do have an image I want to work with this month…
Do you have a WordPress blog? You need that to post on WP – otherwise you can post elsewhere (like Blogger or LJ) but it wont automatically link to it, so you have to manually post it
I have no idea where that link wants me to post in the first place, or *that* it wants me to post; all I see is a log in screen. I expected it to take me to somebody’s page that collected links.
Anyway, I’ve uploaded the picture on https://www.flickr.com/photos/valendon/22679762320 and will figure out the rules later.
Do you have a WP account?
(replying to this because this is the only level left with a reply link)
I’ve followed the link on your week 2 post and posted my link on that blog. I don’t have a ‘WP blog’ as such – this account exists solely so I can comment elsewhere, and it seems to have no blog attached to it.
My own WordPress installations were hacked, and I am still learning how to make sure how to have a chance that this won’t happen again – the platform seems terribly insecure, and I’m still wading through a giant morass of security risks.
Ah yes I remember reading that on LJ – bummer – well posting your link on Nic’s post is the best way – make sure you mention you aren’t on WP at the moment so people know to check it out from there π
Glad you finally came out to play!
okay..I have no idea how I missed this last week…your lemur is adorable
Its probably cos I didnt get around to posting it til about Thursday!
