This time Good News

I got a call from the camera shop today, the insurance company has agreed to replace my lens with a brand new one!  The repair cost was the same as the price of a new lens so I am very glad they made a sensible choice.  Even better there is one in stock 🙂

Apparently my camera was made of sturdy stuff and wasn’t damaged, got a sensor clean and a firmware update and is on its way back from Canon.  Soon we will be reunited and a family again 🙂

In other news my recovery is going well, still quite sore and uncomfortable, moreso today, I think the anaesthetic is finally wearing off from my surgery.  Taking it very easy and watched a LOT of TV last couple of days and I now have some home help in the afternoon for meal preparation and cleaning the kitchen and dishes which is extremely helpful.

Still sleeping a great deal, and often napping during the day.  Don’t feel the slightest bit guilty about it either LOL

Looking forward to sitting at my computer and starting to attack the backlog of images I have yet to edit including the rest of my Tasmania ones!

Good for you not feeling guilty! That is great news about insurance doing the sensible thing. Had my own mishap today when trying to multitask walking Grandpuppy and taking a photo. Puppy 1–iPhone 0. My iPhone is my camera and I’m 21 days from finishing a 365 challenge! Got the phone screen fixed–at a cost! Best wishes and take care.

  3. Good for you to keep on about your lens. You feel so lost without your camera. Glad to hear things are getting better, albeit painfully, Take care.

Lovely rose shot, lots of moody emotion in that one! Fantastic about both the lens and camera. It’s only a week since the op. take it easy and accept all the help you are offered. Great that all is going well.

The rose was actually a mistake, it was very severely underexposed but with the magic of Lightroom and a couple of textures added, I really liked the finished product 🙂
