With all the images shot in this series, I used a range of focal lengths starting from F2.8 and then F4 or F5 and then maybe F8 or F10 to compare the difference. Most of them I picked the F4 option as it gave a bigger depth of field (DOF) and showed more detail.
This image was the exception and unusual for me in that I liked the softness and more artistic use of the DOF. When I edited it in LR I used different presets to enhance the softer feel, pale washed out colour tones and a bit of haze.
A very different style for me which I quite like – love to hear your feedback
Yup, I like the softness and also like that only such a small part is actually sharp. With the added haze I would love to see the original image and therefore how much haze and where.
I think it’s beautiful–the colors, the focus, the haze. Just gorgeous.
Yes its quite different to my usual style but I find it oddly appealing
Beautiful. Love it. I am working on soft pastel colours too at the moment.
Pastel! thats the word I was missing yesterday when I wrote the post 🙂
I like this a lot
I do too, thanks 🙂
