While I was in Lake Tekapo, photographing the lupins earlier this month, this cloud formation hung around the eastern mountain range for several days. Determined to capture it, we drove up the other side of the lake, past Mt John Observatory until we found a high point.
Shot from the road to give some foreground depth, balanced out by a sliver of lake and the lovely side light highlighting all the textural detail on the landscape.
3 shot panorama blended in Lightroom and processed with Nik Silver Efex to BW.
