This weeks Photo Challenge is FRESH and my interpretation is what it feels like to be outside on a very cold frosty morning, when your breath steams in the air and your nose goes numb if you are out too long 🙂
Cat pawprints in snow
Frost crystals on firewood in Hanmer
Rapier fighting in snow
Eastern edge of Southern Alps
Sunrise after snowstorm in CHCH, the moon was on the other side of the sky and it was VERY cold that morning
There, do you all feel a bit chilly now 🙂

Oh, how I miss snow!
We don’t get it very often so its a nice treat for us 🙂
Definitly a contrast to the heat I am feeling now 🙂
Yes I have heard about the heat wave, hoping all is well!
It was a little cooler today. What a relief 🙂
Those photos are a great view into the cold weather that you have to endure .One thing about the snow it allows one to have a new area to photograph. It looks like you took full advantage of that. Good Job.
Thanks, it does take the mundane and make it all magical for a short while 🙂
What a great series! Love the paw prints!
The pawprints are one of my fave shots – this is what happened to get them http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7099/7162380285_357921ea3c_b.jpg
Makes me wonder how you were ever able to get a cat to step on snow!
Oh thats easy, when it snows for the first time, I take them out to the middle of the lawn all covered in snow and put them down in it, and walk away. They soon learn that snow is cold and wet but nothing to concern about beyond that 🙂 The last time it snowed my cat spent most of the day outside in it, coming in to warm up and dry off and then out again to have adventures 🙂
Our cats hide if we say the word “water”!
